mesoinnovaciob2El próximo 16 y 17 de Marzo, se llevará a cabo en el auditorio del Centro Ático el evento "Meso Innovación: Gobernanza, Territorios y Competitividad", organizado por la Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, con el apoyo del Observatorio Colombiano de Ciencia y Tecnología, como parte de la iniciativa Red Latinoamericana de Innovación INNOVAMESO LATAM.

El próximo 16 y 17 de Marzo de 2016, se llevará a cabo en el auditorio del Centro Ático el evento "Meso Innovación: Gobernanza, Territorios y Competitividad", organizado por la Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, con el apoyo del Observatorio Colombiano de Ciencia y Tecnología, como parte de la iniciativa Red Latinoamericana de Innovación INNOVAMESO LATAM.

El Encuentro pretende promover espacios de diálogo y el intercambio de experiencias y conocimientos entre académicos, empresarios, y tomadores de decisiones latinoamericanos en torno a las temáticas de la Meso Innovación.

El evento contará con la participación de destacados expertos nacionales e internacionales. Algunos de los invitados son: María José Aranguren - Directora General del Instituto Vasco de Competitividad - Orkestra-; Guy Boisier - Director del MBA de la Universidad Austral de Chile; y Jaime H. Sierra - Profesor Asociado del Departamento de Administración de la Pontificia Universidad Javeriana.

Symposium on evaluating policies for Science, Technology and Innovation

eva4There exist particular characteristics of the Scientific, Technological and Innovation Policy that require the application of assessment tools different to those used for other public policies. In order to analyze the different evaluation approaches, as well as the methodologies and indicators used internationally to evaluate programs for Scientific, Technological and Innovation, the National Council of Science and Technology (CONACYT) and the Scientific Advisory Forum and Technology (FCCyT) organized a symposium titled "Evaluation of Policies on Science, Technology and Innovation".

The Learning Process in the Formulation of Public Policy on Science, Technology and Innovation Is it possible to exchange experiences and encourage the process of learning in one country by engaging in a dialogue on public policies with other countries?

eva2The public policy process proceeds by trial and error and requires learning from experience. Institutional learning process requires investment and is a non-replaceable process. You cannot replace the internal knowledge of one organization with that acquired by another institution or organization.
Based on the experiences of Latin America and the most advanced countries elements can be deducted to determine the a country’s ability to design and implement effective policies.

 

Public Policies on Science, Technology and Innovation in Latin America: Specific And Common Challenges

eva1Today , innovation plays a central role in public agendas of development in almost all countries in the region, although this central role is most frequently recorded level discussions and statements at the level of budget allocation. In the last decade there has been in Latin America a new impetus to the agenda for Science , Technology and Innovation.
