EASST and 4S are two scholarly societies dedicated to the study of science, technology and society (STS). How countries support public scientific research has a direct bearing on the capability of researchers to generate scientific knowledge, and of organizations to adapt or apply such knowledge. While many countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America are characterized by weak scientific capacity, there are signs of change in how governments support research and promote science.
MEDAlics Workshop and PhD Academy is open to Ph.D. students who have completed at least their first year of graduate studies and who are working on their thesis.
The Second AfricaLics Conference will be hosted by University of Rwanda and held in Kigali, Rwanda. Paper submission for the 2nd AfricaLics conference is currently ongoing through ConfTool.
